Balm in Gilead was founded in 2003 by Dr. Vivian Rhone and other volunteers after a burning desire to help people of all backgrounds, needs, and walks of life was placed in their hearts. Balm In Gilead is still currently directed by Dr. Rhone and remains a 100% volunteer-based organization since its inception.

We are thrilled that you have taken a few moments to pursue more information about our organization. Our site provides a holistic view of what we do, why we do it, and most importantly who we do it for.

We provide assistance in a variety of areas to any and all of God’s children. Discrimination has no place within our organization and showing Christ’s unconditional love to all people, regardless of race, religion, or circumstance is of upmost importance to each and every volunteer in our organization.
